Sensory Bottles

Here's What To Do

1

Fill 3-4 small plastic bottles with water. Add a few drops of food coloring, dish soap, and glitter to each bottle.

2

Make sure the tops of the bottles are tightly secured by wrapping a few layers of durable tape around the caps (or secure with non-toxic glue).

3

Shake and roll the bottles in front of your baby.

4

Allow your child to touch, shake, and explore the bottles. Your child will probably want to put the bottle in their mouth, so be mindful of the cap.

R

Reflect:

  • Did your baby seem curious about the bottles?

Not quite ready?

Hold your baby in your lap while holding and shaking the bottles in front of them.

Ready for more?

Place the bottles around your baby on the floor, and watch how they reach for them and interact with them.
