Domino Dot Addition

Here's What To Do

1

Place dominos on a table or countertop. Choose a domino and place it in front of your child. Cover one side of the domino with your hand.

2

Say: “Let’s count the dots we see on this side. How many are there? Now let’s count the other side, How many are there?”

3

Next count them all. “This side has 2 dots, and this side has 2 dots. Let’s count them all... 1, 2, 3, 4! That makes 4!”

4

Repeat with a few more dominos.

Mother and child play together (animated).
