Here's What To Do

Lay your baby on their back and turn on some music.

Hold a baking sheet in front of their feet.

Encourage them to "drum" on the baking sheet with their feet.

Pause:

  • Smile, hug your baby, and lay them down on a soft and comfortable surface.

Engage:

  • "Can you get the pan with your feet?"
  • Tap your own feet along to their rhythm, or dance to the song.

Encourage:

  • Describe what they're doing, like: "You're making those drumming sounds with your feet!"
  • Compliment your baby, like: "You're such a good dancer!"

Reflect:

  • Was your baby able to interact and make noises during this activity?
